Basic Instructions for Painting your Mini Barn Quilt

These little kits are fun and easy to do.    Separate the pieces by color. Add some masking tape, sticky side up to hold your pieces in place while you paint,  and use a paper plate as a pallet to hold your paint. Grip the sponge by the narrow end and dip it into the paint, then dab off the excess onto the plate. It really doesn't take much paint. Pounce the paint onto the block pieces. Some colors will need several coats. When the paint is dry, follow the design on the backer, and place your pieces into the frame. Once you're happy with the layout, remove each piece one at a time using the sticky side of a piece of masking tape.    Apply glue to the back of the piece and place back into the frame. Repeat the process until all the pieces are glued in. You may then place some weight onto the block to help hold the pieces until the glue sets. If you would like to use the stand, place it into the slot on the bottom of the backer.
